Description
Custom Pneumatic Housing Disassembly Tool is a specialised production-floor fixture engineered to open sealed plastic electronic enclosures for diagnostic troubleshooting and failure analysis. Once an electronic device is final-assembled—often via ultrasonic welding, heavy snap-fits, or structural adhesives—opening the housing manually to inspect a failure is difficult and hazardous. Traditional manual extraction methods using rotary saws or hand blades create dangerous flying debris, uneven cuts, and great mechanical shock that can easily destroy the internal PCBA, ruin the failure evidence, or injure the operator.
This benchtop solution provides a fast, perfectly repeatable, and highly controlled mechanical separation process. The device is placed into a custom-machined cavity where integrated pneumatic cutting jaws cleanly split or shear the plastic outer shell. To guarantee absolute workplace safety, the machine features a strict mechanical-pneumatic interlock: the powerful cutting cylinders are entirely isolated from the air supply and cannot be actuated unless the protective lid is completely closed.
